Dr. Carl K. Dey, PhD, MBA
Carl Dey is the founder of Wilson Dey Consultants Ltd. He is responsible for the implementation of the overall strategic vision and he works with a cross functional team to improve organizations processes. Wilson Dey Consultants specializes in business consulting, investments and real estate development. Carl started his career in Ghana and moved to the United States for his bachelors, masters and PHD. In his corporate experience he rose from a business development manager, district and to senior manager for strategic outsourced operations with supervisory responsibility of 22 states across the USA. Carl is a visionary leader and has a heart for the underprivileged in society. He has organized many mission trips to Ghana and founded Impact-G and the CSDM Foundation in 2007. He is a founding Board member and Director of Operations of Broken Crayons. Carl brought the first PAIS Project to Africa in 2006 and now has a representation in four different countries. He is a Pechacek, Jacobs and Legatum Fellow at MIT.
Hector Baeza, MBA
Hector Baeza is the head of commercial training and development at Alexion Pharmaceuticals. Hector currently leads a global team that is responsible for the training and on-going development of all commercial employees across every Alexion global market. Hector’s experience in the pharmaceutical industry includes global training, global and U.S. marketing, U.S. field sales, and an international role in Mexico City where he led a full marketing team.
Marjorie Cass, MBA
Marjorie Cass is the President of Matterlab Enrollment where she and her team ensure that families are aware of all the excellent educational opportunities available to them by supporting public charter schools with student enrollment. Prior to this, Marjorie was a Middle School Principal and the Managing Director of Schools at a network providing quality education to underserved communities in New York City. Marjorie earned her BS in Special Education from Boston University and is pursuing her MBA at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She serves on the Transformative Leadership Advisory Board at Pace University, where she studied during her time in Teach For America.
Dr. Mark Clemens, MD, MBA
Dr. Mark Clemens is an associate professor of plastic surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Texas in Houston. He fulfilled a microsurgery fellowship following a plastic surgery residency at Georgetown University, as well as research fellowships at the National Institutes of Health and Harvard Children’s Hospital. Dr. Clemens has lectured or operated in 26 countries and written over 150 peer reviewed articles and book chapters. Dr. Clemens serves as a content expert on implantable device safety to the US FDA, and chairs a committee for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons overseeing US research for breast implant-associated lymphoma.
Jennifer Cummins-Askew, MBA
McKee Foods is the family-owned bakery known for their biggest brand, Little Debbie® snacks. As Manager of the Creative Services department, Jennifer leads the execution for a majority of the marketing efforts for the Little Debbie®, Drake’s® Cakes, Sunbelt Bakery® and Fieldstone® Bakery brands. She continually works with R&D, Manufacturing, Product Development, IT, Engineering, Legal, Regulatory, Purchasing and many other departments to ensure successful, integrated product launches and the printing and use of millions of packages annually. She also represents the Marketing department on her company’s Innovation Team.
Belma Erdogan-Haug PhD, MBA
Belma is a Business Development and Government R&D Manager at 3M and responsible for developing strategies, initiating, executing and aligning key 3M programs to government while strengthening relationships with external scientific organizations and universities. After her Ph.D. (Georgia Tech) and post-doc (UMass-Amherst), Belma joined 3M and led many projects and cross functional global teams in flexible display applications both for consumer electronics and automotive dashboard. She is an author of 20 patents and 13 scientific articles. Besides work, she is a passionate community giver and avid advocate of women in workplace especially in STEM fields.
Cleidy Liborio Fernandes, MBA(c)
Cleidy is the Chief Commercial Officer for the Latin America Region at CMA CGM - 3rd largest container transportation group worldwide, present in over 160 countries and serving 420 of the world's 521 commercial ports. In her current scope, Cleidy is in charge of driving the network activities of agencies in 32 Latin America countries, including business process, global accounts, marketing, e-commerce, network management and pricing strategy for refrigerated and project cargo. Cleidy has 21 years of experience in the maritime industry, worked in multiple countries and has held strategic positions in pricing, sales management, training, global accounts management and customer service. Prior to CMA CGM, she worked for CP Ships, Hapag Lloyd (5th largest container group) and Panalpina (world's leading provider of supply chain solutions). Before making a career change to the maritime industry, Cleidy was a journalist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Arts.
Dr. Martin Leach, Ph.D., MBA(c)
Dr. Martin Leach is Vice President of IT at Alexion Pharmaceuticals. He has a global role providing the strategy and IT solutions for Alexion's R&D, Global Quality and Human Experience groups. Prior to Alexion; he formed the Global Data Office at Biogen, lead Biogen's R&D IT group, was the first CIO at the Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard, lead Discovery & Preclinical Sciences IT at Merck & Co., was a Principal at Booz Allen Hamilton, and Vice President IT & Informatics at CuraGen Corporation.
Paolo Marone MBA
Paolo recently took over the role of Chief Financial Officer for Americas at GE Power. Prior to this role, Paolo was finance lead on multiple, highstakes power projects, including Puerto Rico in the wake of hurricane Maria. Paolo developed a passion for learning and taking on tough assignments during his six years at GE’s Corporate Audit Staff, where he was deployed to cover emerging issues (e.g., option trading in the wake of the ’08 financial crisis), or to improve manufacturing operations (e.g., at GE’s locomotives and oil & gas businesses) across 10+ countries and multiple businesses.
Michael McAlpin, MBA
Michael McAlpin is an entrepreneur, film producer and IT architect with 19 years of proven solutions delivery in both healthcare and technology systems. Michael’s worked for a number of companies including Accenture, DirecTV, Chase, and Verizon, before starting his own software company in 2010. He has since co-founded two other successful software ventures, serves on the board for a number of growing companies, and is CTO of American Logistics. Michael produced the feature films Waffle Street (2015) and Miss Arizona (2019).
Meg Montgomery, MBA
Meg Montgomery is currently the Senior Director of Consumer Product Marketing at DraftKings, where she’s built the first product marketing department at the company, and drives the go-to-market planning for key launches across all verticals, including the recent launch of DraftKings Sportsbook. Previously, as a Global Brand Manager at New Balance, she helped build the first Global Brand Team, and developed a new global brand identity and creative platform across all US and international teams. Prior to New Balance, she was a Marketing Director at Arnold Worldwide, overseeing the Titleist and Tyson accounts and providing clients with insights, product positioning, and integrated campaigns to drive results.
Dr. Anne Tsao, MD, MBA
Anne Tsao MD, is a tenured professor and thoracic oncologist at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC). She leads 2 multi-disciplinary programs as the Director of the Mesothelioma and Director of the Thoracic Chemo-Radiation Programs. She is a world-renowned expert in clinical and translational research with over 100 publications in high-impact journals and numerous awards/grants from ASCO, IASLC, NIH and the DOD. She holds several committee leadership roles in national and international oncology societies. Dr. Tsao currently serves as co-Chair for the MDACC Clinical Research Committee and is the Chair for the MDACC Conflict of Interest Committee.
Teresa Stinson, MBA
Teresa Stinson has more than 33 years of banking experience and is currently an Executive Vice President starting the Commercial Bank for Cadence Bank in Florida. She began her career with Barnett Bank and post Bank of America merger in her role as Regional Sales Director. Teresa was recruited to build the Retail Bank Division for Wachovia in Tampa Bay. Stinson holds a BA from The University of Florida and is a 40 Under 40 Award recipient by the TBBJ. She is a member of the Voices for Children of Tampa Bay, Leadership Tampa Alumni, ACG, Women’s Executive Leadership, and the The University of Tampa Board of Fellows.
Chris Taylor, Ph.D., MBA
I currently serve as Director of Product Marketing and Aspen Technology. Prior to this, at Dupont, I lead a cross-functional team to identify, evaluate and execute growth projects that are outside of the current core business. Before this, I had roles in product marketing, new product development and R&D. Before joining DuPont, I was part of the manufacturing startup team for the GLOBALFOUNDRIES FAB8 semiconductor plant in upstate New York, which also included an expatriate assignment in Dresden, Germany. I entered the semiconductor industry after studying chemical engineering at UT-Austin and WVU.
